Pantheon & Luxembourg

Our last half day in Paris ...

We needed to leave for Charles de Gaulle airport about 2.30pm for our flight  to Leeds Bradford so we decided to visit the Pantheon and revisit the Luxembourg Gardens during the morning.
The Pantheon is another magnificent piece of architecture.
The crypt below the Pantheon is the final resting place of many well known French people including Voltaire, Marie Curie, Louis Braille and Victor Hugo.
The sculptures are incredible.
The Luxembourg Gardens and finally some blue skies!
The gardens are spacious, peaceful and very enjoyable.
Anne soaking up some Vitamin D!
 Lakes, fountains and formal gardens.
Palais du Luxembourg and some more threatening skies.
This was our favourite part of the Latin Quarter where we had dinner every night. There were dozens of restaurants that offered a 10 Euro 3 course dinner. I had French onion soup, steak with pepper sauce and chips followed by chocolate mousse on more than one occasion!
This was our favourite restaurant in the Latin Quarter that warranted 2 visits.
A welcome glass of red wine at the end of a hard day of sightseeing.
Of course Anne was having the equivalent glass of white wine!
This was our favourite location for breakfast just around the corner from the hotel.
