East Anglia and Norwich

A great 2 nights with cousin Judith and her husband Richard ...

Friday, 29th June, Judith and Richard's house at Felthorpe outside Norwich. Anne and Judith in the picture just after arriving. Note the blue sky!
Converted barns, main house on left and holiday let on the right hand side.

Saturday, 30th June and a great day visiting three locations on the north coast of East Anglia. This was Wells Next The Sea. It is actually about 2 miles from the coast on an inland waterway.

As you can see the tide was out!
Beautiful day in Wells Next The Sea. Also know as as Chelsea by the Sea.
Our lunch destination! Quite different to the usual "pub lunch".

Clockwise Anne, David, Andrew, Judith, Richard and Clare.
An "after lunch" walk at Blakeney our second stop.
Very unusual coastal landscape. Lots of navigable waterways for boat lovers.
The views including the skies were quite spectacular.
Walking and talking on a windswept landscape!
Our third stop at Cromer was quite different from the first two. Cromer is a typical " seaside resort" with promenade. Recent storms had the waves coming over the promenade and way up the green bank on the left.
Cromer Pier was great for a stroll, coffee or something stronger.
The beach at Cromer.
Coffee on the Pier. Clockwise Anne, Andrew, David, Judith, David and Clare.
Quaint streets in Cromer.
A well deserved icecream!
Sunday, 1st July and a walk around the historic part of Norwich.
Very quiet streets in the historic part of Norwich.
This bear was sitting all alone outside a Teddy Bear shop (see below).
Inside this fabulous Teddy Bear shop. Some of the teddy bears were over 700 pounds!
More quaint streets around Norwich.
One of the two rivers in Norwich.
Norwich Cathedral (recently renovated).
More beautiful buildings!
The Ferryman's house.
David, Lauren, Judith, Anne and yours truly.
This pub called the Adam and Eve is the oldest in Norwich dated 1249. Our lunch stop.
The lower bar in the Adam and Eve was barely 6 foot to the ceiling timbers.
