Ottawa Day 1 & 2

On the way to Ottawa and looking around Kanata & Ottawa ...

This delayed post due to lots of catching up with Brooke & Rosie and Sandy & Ann! This photo is the St. Lawrence river whilst travelling up the 1000 Island Parkway between Toronto and Ottawa  

No, this is not a sea, or a lake this is the St Lawrence River at Rockport!

First morning with Brooke & Rosie in Kanata we decided to take Alfie for walk and drive around Kanata for a while 

Brooke & Rosie and, of course, Alfie! 

The walk took us through some beautiful woods

Parks down by the Ottawa river were huge 

A flock of Canada geese coming into land! 

Resting before heading back to Brooke & Rosie's 

At 12.30 pm we met up with Sandy, Ann and Alayne for lunch in Kanata. A long lunch followed by more talk at a nearby Cafe

After that we were off to a party with Brooke and Rosie. This was a picturesque lookout on the way to the party! It is called Pinhey's Point overlooking the Ottawa River

Day 2 and we are off to Ottawa with Sandy & Ann 

Ottawa Parliament where we were lucky enough to see the changing of the Guard 

Bagpipes and brass band, this made some great photos

We happened to be in just the right position to get close ups as the band passed us and headed down the streets of Ottawa

We went on an a tour of the Parliament House and it certainly was very impressive inside

And in another direction! 

After looking around Ottawa, we picked up Terri from Fallowfield Station and Brooke and Rosie kindly invited Sandy and Ann to join us for dinner. This was taken on Brooke & Rosie's back patio 

The opposite side of the table!
