New York Day 3

The morning in Central Park and lunch in Greenwich Village ...
Terri decided to hire a bicycle for two hours to ride around the Park. Anne and I chose the walking option. The "Strawberry Fields" garden in Central Park is a tribute to John Lennon. The circular design has the word "Imagine" across the middle
A vista across "The Lake" in Central Park. The large building on the horizon is the American Museum of Natural History (our probable destination for tomorrow)
The famous "Bow Bridge" across a narrow part of "The Lake"

Yours truly standing on the "Bow Bridge"
Anne also on the "Bow Bridge" with a different backdrop
"The Ramble" gets so thick that you would never suspect that you were in the centre of New York. You can hardly hear any City noise

One the non human inhabitants of Central Park minding its own business in the "Shakespeare Garden"
Belvedere Castle afforded great views over Central Park from the rooftop just right of the spire
A welcome rest of the legs, a coffee for Anne and an ice cream for me! This was probably our favourite spot in Central Park. The view from the table in this photo is shown in the next photo
Avery pleasant view and nice to just "watch the world go by". Children were hiring little remote controlled sail boats!
Lots of very slow horse drawn carriages at $50  per 10 minutes you wouldn't see much but it would rest the legs!
"The Mall" was very pretty and mostly shady
Just outside Central Park at the south western corner. These buildings were quite spectacular
The "Maine Monument". You can see Terri in the foreground taking a picture of the buildings in my last photo
Also at Columbus Circle, this is the Trump Intercontinental Hotel and Tower.
Like almost everywhere else in Manhattan, Columbus Circle is a very busy
Quieter here having lunch in the Father Demo Square, Greenwich Village
Relaxing after lunch
The fountain in Father Demo Square
We had to walk around the small Christopher Park in Greenwich Village
